In short:

Brendan Hannam died when a six-wheel Supacat high-mobility vehicle rolled during a training exercise in the Northern Territory on October 5.

The ABC has confirmed the same type of vehicle had also flipped in a previous incident that Defence did not disclose publicly.

What's next?

Defence Minister Richard Marles says he has asked the chief of defence to look into "what might be the best vehicle" to address concerns.
