Brisbane City Council has announced it will invest $5.6 million in an expansion to its health and wellness activities program as part of its 2026/2027 budget. 

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner says the Move Well Brisbane program will add nutritional and cooking classes and double the numbers of providers and activities.

What's next?

The council's 2026/27 budget will be released on Wednesday.
