In short:

Police watch houses across Queensland are regularly operating above capacity despite an internal review identifying the problem almost a year ago.

The Queensland Police Union has lodged a complaint with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland about conditions faced by officers working in watch houses.

What's next?

Queensland Police Service says it is aware of the complaint and is "working with the regulator as required".
